Fabric Supply's origins date back to 1944, when it began selling products from a store front in Downtown Minneapolis. As Fabric Supply grew it moved to a larger facility on Nicollet Island in Minneapolis. Then in the mid 1960's moved to it's present location on North Second Street.
For over 60 years Fabric Supply has been a premier supplier for the Furniture, Automotive and Marine Industries. For over half a century FSI has sold fabrics, vinyls, upholstery supplies, carpet, fiber and foam into the manufacturing companies of the Midwest and the aftermarket companies across the country.
In May of 1992 Rich and Jill Heineman bought Fabric Supply Company and incorporated as Fabric Supply, Inc. Because Rich had been a part of the company since 1969 our customers experienced no delay in service, or change in the product, that they had come to expect.
Today, FSI has a Management/Sales team that has over 150 years of experience in the re-upholstery trade. Fabric Supply specializes in materials for all aspects of Upholstery...Residential, Commercial, Industrial, Automotive and Marine.
A truly important value to FSI is that we fabricate all of our own Foam orders. Fabric Supply has over 50 years experience in cutting foam and can cut almost any dimension from our 37 different foam types stocked in Minneapolis.
We have added 12,000 square feet of warehouse space over the past 10 years to accommodate larger inventories and increase our buying power. This keeps our prices competitive. Now our 24,000 square feet of warehouse space has made it possible to stock customer specific parts and products. This has afforded our customers the unique opportunity to have us work as their fulfillment warehouse for just-in-time shipments. Ask us what we can do for you!
